This is an amazing quote issued by Og Mandino. A person who's habits are proper are ensured success unlike those who's habits are distasteful (bad). Those who's habits are proper pave their road to success because their internal structure is incorruptable by neferious thoughts. Those whose habits are distasteful are metaphorically the keys to the gates of suffering because they are cowards and easily corruptable. We can either severe or strenghten our ties to the road of success and those who severe it are the ones that will not succeed, but those who strenghten their ties to the road of success will succeed and will not stray from the road of success they literally become "the slaves of proper habits."
