Student Successful Statement
“Be always sure you’re right, then go ahead.”
Davy Crockett

This quote expresses the concept of reassurance of ones decisions. You should always be sure of your decision and be able to justify your motive for any action that you are about to commit. Many have their own definition of a correct action, but should understand if others see it as correct. Many fail to recognize the beneficial and correct aspect of their motive. For example, if a boy hit another boy and is punished and when asked for his motive he tells the teacher/ caretaker that the boy took his pencil will that really justify for his violent action? I believe an action should be correct and not done for the benefit of one sole person, but should be beneficial for many.

Student Success Statement
“I think that it is better to do right, even if we suffer in so doing, that to incur the reproach of our consciences and posterity.”
Robert E. Lee

You should always do what is right no matter what ordeal it presents. You should never try to avoid the consequences presented with doing what is right because those consequences while beneficial or not are the only ones presented with doing the right thing and it is better to endure then to avoid. However, those who do avoid the correct choice do not prosper feel conflicted because of their choices therefore making the future consequences much more severe instead of diminishing the severity of any kind of punishment.

Student Success Statement
"So often, in our quest to be more popular and to be part of the "in-group," we lose sight of things that are far more important."
Sean Covey
This is an amazing quote by Mr. Covey that I 100% agree with. Many youths want to be popular and want to be noticed as well as admired by others. One example is a kid wanting to become popular and to obtain popularity buys new shoes that are expensive not aware of his family's economical state. I was talking to one of my friends that other day and he told me that he was considering acquiring a piercing, but I convinced him to question his motives, he only wanted to get one to be noticed and be "cool" which is absurd. Many youths today appear to have no limit when their motives pretain to popularity and that frightens me. many youths will go to extremes to be noticed and gain popularity, but are they achieving popularity in a beneficial way or are they just throwing the beneficial and good factors of their life away? That's a question that they will have to answer themselves.

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens: Habit 4

7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens
Habit 4

4. Think Win-Win

Teens can learn to foster the belief that is possible to create an atmosphere of Win- Win in every relationship. This habit encourages the idea that in any given discussion or situation both parties can arrive at a mutually beneficial solution. Your teen will learn to celebrate the accomplishments of others instead of being threatened by them. Win- Win is a belief that everyone can win. It’s both nice and tough all at once. I won’t step on you, but I won’t be your doormat either. You care about other people and you want them to succeed. But you also care about yourself, and you want to succeed as well. Win- Win is abundant. It is the belief that there’s plenty of success to go around. It’s not either you or me. It’s both us. It’s not a matter of who gets the biggest piece of pie. There’s more than enough food for everyone. It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Win- win always creates more. Perhaps the most surprising benefit of thinking Win- Win is the good feelings it brings on. The true test of whether or not you are thinking Win- Win or one of the alternatives is how you feel. Win- Lose and Lose- Win thinking will cloud your judgment and fill you with negative feelings.

Win- Win will fill your heart with happy and serene thoughts. It will give you confidence. Even fill you with light. Think Win- Win or no deal.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!
