“Start with what is right rather than what is acceptable.”
Peter F. Drucker
This is an amazing statement by Peter F. Drucker.
Many things are viewed as correct by many, but are morally wrong. What is
correct is not what is viewed as correct, but what is morally correct. For
example, you are at a school board meeting and the head of the school district
wants to reduce the amount of profit that is provided to our schools. For many
this seems atrociously evil, but for the employees at the school district this
may seem as an “acceptable” action that will ensure their sustainability.
Unlike the employees, many of the citizens view this as unacceptable because
this will lead to a decline in the conditions of our educational institutions.
What the employees should ask themselves is if this decision is morally
correct? Which it is definitely not!
