Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more important than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
Calvin Coolidge, 30th president of the United States

This is an amazing
statement by Calvin Coolidge. Persistence and determination are both important
qualities that will allow success. For example, let’s say that one of your
classmates is labeled as a genius; Does that ensure success? No, what if he
does not complete his homework and thinks of himself superior to his peers.
Will an employer hire him if he is not as approachable as the other applicants;
chances are that he will not be employed for the position. Determination and
diligence is what allows people to realize their ambitions not talent. Talent
is only properly applied when someone who expresses the qualities above it can
never ensure success because many do not apply themselves and therefore do not
succeed.
