“Start with what is right rather than what is acceptable.”
Peter F. Drucker

This is an amazing statement by Peter F. Drucker. Many things are viewed as correct by many, but are morally wrong. What is correct is not what is viewed as correct, but what is morally correct. For example, you are at a school board meeting and the head of the school district wants to reduce the amount of profit that is provided to our schools. For many this seems atrociously evil, but for the employees at the school district this may seem as an “acceptable” action that will ensure their sustainability. Unlike the employees, many of the citizens view this as unacceptable because this will lead to a decline in the conditions of our educational institutions. What the employees should ask themselves is if this decision is morally correct? Which it is definitely not!

“You have only always to do what is right. It will become easier by practice, and you enjoy in the midst of your trials the pleasure of an approving conscience.”
Robert E. Lee
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_E._Lee

If you commit an action that will lead to the benefit of many and is overall good in nature then you will be rewarded with immense satisfaction because you did what is right. Doing what is right will be progressively simple if you commit the correct actions more often and it will become much more simple that you would not be conflicted by a proper and by an improper choice. If you commit a proper action then you will not feel any guilt or confliction that would be felt if you committed an improper action and therefore you would be rewarded by your conscience with the satisfaction and approval of your decision. Though committing proper actions can be viewed as a responsibility becuase it sometimes is responsibility that is benefiting for you and for those around you and with practice can soon become an idea that you will always strive for.

“I think that it is better to do right, even if we suffer in so doing, that to incur the reproach of our consciences and posterity.”
Robert E. Lee

You should always do what is right no matter what ordeal it presents. You should never try to avoid the consequences presented with doing what is right because those consequences while beneficial or not are the only ones presented with doing the right thing and it is better to endure then to avoid. However, those who do avoid the correct choice do not prosper feel conflicted because of their choices therefore making the future consequences much more severe instead of diminishing the severity of any kind of punishment.

“Choosing the Right is always the right thing to do.” Alex Linares

I agree with this statement from my teacher’s former student. Is it better to do what is right or what is wrong? Many of us rationalize our motives for the choices we make either lying to your friend or doing your homework in class, but we never realize that every moment we are committing these wrong actions we do not understand the severity of our actions, but we are not blind to our wrong doing we know when we commit wrong actions we just choose to do nothing about it. We must abide by the rules that let us prosper. If you encounter a rule that you believe improper you still have to abide by it or ask city officials to either disband or change the law, but we cannot choose to ignore it. When you “Choose the Wrong” you are smearing a stain on your morale and not doing the correct thing therefore your sense/ perspective of judgment is terrible, but if you “Choose the Right” your sense of judgment is morally good.

"It's better to be alone then to be in bad company."
ANON
This is an amazing quote that I agree. I believe thatn an individual does require company, but conpany that is good not the oppposite of it. It  is indeed better to be alone then to participate in wrong actions that both you and your so called friends will not benefit from. many youths today are pressured and persuaded into changing their appearance, attitude, and so on. Youths percieve the world differently therefore would want to percive similarly tothe one they admire. If they want to be "cool" and have exhilerting friendships and if they acquire that by participating in wrong actions and belive to be persuaded then they are wrong they allowed themselves to be indulged into the world of drugs, crime, etc. If you are not in contact with those who participate in wtrong actions than you are doing the right thing and then you could acquire acquaintances who are good and not miscreants.

"Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man's doing but my own. I am the force."
Elain Maxwell
You are the one that determines everything in your life you are the operator and your destiny is the vehicle. Your doing and no one elses, even if you are influenced your desicions will determine your consequences. You are the one who controls your future not anyone else you cannot blame others for your failure. You can be evaluated, but you can never blame others for your mistakes because you are the one that makes the desicions no one else does. there are to paths that you can choose, right or wrong and it's up to you to make the desicion to either choose to do right or wrong.

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens: Habit 1 (by Sean Covey modified)

7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens
Habit 1
(by Sean Covey modified)

Habit 1: Be Proactive.

Being proactive is the key to unlocking the other habits. Help your teen take control and responsibility for his/her life. Proactive people understand that they are responsible for their own happiness or unhappiness. They don’t blame others for their own actions or feelings. Proactive people realize that the ball is in their court, that they are the captain of their own ship; that they are in control, control of their decisions, thoughts, choices, goals, actions, and priorities. Proactive people are self-starters: they don’t wait to be told what to do; they press forward with enthusiasm toward the achievement of their assignment, their duties, their responsibilities, their obligations. Choosing to do what is right is a proactive decision. Obey the rules. Obey the law. Obey the coach. Obey the school policies. Obey your parents. Obey with exactness and great things will come to you. Be proactive and take initiative.

"Nothing is ever gained in doing what's wrong."
Wilford Woodruff
Nothing, not even a miniscule amount of good will be derived from anything wrong. Those who "Choose the Wrong" are mislead and fools because they should know that nothing is ever gained when they commit wrong actions and will only accomplish things that will hurt them later on. Those who commit right/good actions will always benefit one way or another and will never feel guilt or anger, instead they will be enlightened and prosper. Those who commit wrong actions will feel atrocious because it is our nature to do what is right and help others, not to be manipulated by greed and other despicable desires  to commit wrong actions because no one wants to be a puppet controlled by misleading ideals and such.

"Goodness is the only investment that never fails."
- Henry David Thoreau
Yes this is an understandable quote by Mr. Thoreau. If you invest all of your time into doing what is right then you wil never fail in what you are striving for. When the person invests his/her time into some benefitting actions or "goodness" will always be compensated for his investment because there will always be something to do that is good. If someone invests their time in activities that require them to act or be delinquents then they will not be rewarded properly. If the investor did not apply themselves or muster much of their time into the activity then the person might feel that they are unsatisfied with their activity then they will restrain from it or elude participation from it, but those who apply themselves and do what is right will always benefit from it and will be satisfied and rewarded.

"What's right isn't always popular. What's popular isn't always right."
Howard Cossel

Howard Cossel is indeed correct. Things that are popular are not always the best things, they can sometimes be attrocious, but since they are alledgedly popular people go ahead and do them. When you do something you know is the correct thing to do, but others do not find it popular or they believe that it's not the correct thing to do, but in reality it is the correct thing to do then go ahead and do. You should not let peoples desires cloud your judgement because those people might not even know right from wrong and will influence you to do something that you will later regret. Many youths today are influenced easily, most youths today are weak they are consumed by others desire that they are influenced into doing what is wrong such as if someone asked you to change your apparel/style of clothing and you are tempted to, but then you notice that you have an interview for a prestigious program and if you wear baggy pants and clothes with violence associated images then you will be less likely to be accepted.

"The time is always right to do what is right."
Martin Luther King Jr.
This is an amazing quote with simplicity and an inspiring message. Martin Luther King Jr. has always been a symbol for freedom and equality. Time is a concept, an illusion, our way of understanding sequences and events. When we do something that is morally correct or right it is the right time to make that decision, but when we do something wrong then that was a wrong time to perform that action. Time is our way of understanding sequences and events all through out history, but we can never percieve the future and if we do something right or wrong then that will be the right time or the wrong time to perform the action, "only time will tell."

Succesful Students: 3-4

Successful Students
3-4

3  ...ask questions. Successful students ask questions to provide the quickest route between ignorance and knowledge. In addition to securing knowledge you seek; asking questions has at least two other extremely important benefits. The process helps you pay attention to your professor and helps your professor pay attention to you! Think about it. If you want something, go after it. Get the answer now, or fail a question later. There are no foolish questions, only foolish silence. It’s your choice.

4…learn that a student and a professor make a team. Most instructors want exactly what you want: they would like for you to learn the material in their respective classes and earn a good grade.

Successful students reflect well on the efforts of any teacher; if you have learned your material, the instructor takes some justifiable pride in teaching. Join forces with your instructor, they are not the enemy, you share the same interests, the same goals – in short, your teammates. Get to know your professor. You’re the most valuable players on the same team. Your jobs are to work together for mutual success. Neither wishes to chalk up a losing season. Be a team player!

"I know only that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after."
Ernest Hemingway
This is a magnificent quote. After you have commited a good deed then inevitably you will feel good even if it is only a slight feeling of happiness. After doing something wrong then you will feel distraught and guilt. Moral, What is Moral? Well moral is a sort of sense that humans are acquainted with that basically tells us what is right from wrong, no one is born with a sense of right or wrong, their actions are associated with their influences thus influencing their actions which will be either right or wrong.

"My strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure"
Alfred, Lord Tennyson
This a very exquisite quote. I comprehend that Alfred gave us insight into his doing of good and his purity that was not tarnished because of any malovelant actions. Someone is strong when they do good, when they do wrong they exploit weakness thus making him/her a coward. Those who always do good and do the right thing are ones with pure hearts, they cannot be corrupted, but those who do wrong are not and are easily corruptable. Some may ask why someone commits wrong or evil actions?, but what they should be asking is why are they weak and consumed by a "desire" to do wrong which makes them impure unlike those who do good. I awcknowledge this quote, but the cerbral area is what controls our emotions and our way of thinking.
