“Your future is created based on what you do today; not tomorrow.”
Robert Kiyosaki
This is an amazing statement by author of “Rich Dad,
Poor Dad,” Robert Kiyosaki. If you decide to do something then that action will formulate an
outcome/ consequence that will be your future. You can never predict the future
because there are so many consequences that are all derived off of your choices
today. For example, if you were to
become a successful business executive you would begin to learn more about the
position therefore you became interested in the career position and let’s say
you just currently researched it and did it today not in the future. Our
actions today (the present) determine the consequences of our future.

Marion Jones burned the Track
Summary
Olympic Track and Field star Marion Jones prestigiously
won 5 medals (3 gold and 2 bronze) during the 2000 Sydney, Australia Olympics.
Her reputation was abolished when she appeared outside of a federal court after
being found guilty of using sport enhancing substances during the 2000 Olympics
which led to her triumphant performance in Track and Field. Marion was
sentenced to 6 months in prison and was stripped of her medals and her freedom.
Reflection
Marion Jones will now and always feel ashamed of her
pathetic actions. Why did she use the enhancing supplements? I believe that she
used the supplements because she felt inadequate something that is not uncommon
in athletics. Marion jones disgraced the both herself and the athletics department.
Some believe that Marion either was influenced to use the supplements or began
to use the supplements because she felt pressured during or before the
Olympics. Marion harbored her guilt over the course of all those years when she
could have avoided all of these disastrous results. Marion Jones’s reputation
and career is now disgraced which is what she harshly deserves.

“If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it.”

“If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it.”
Marcus Aurelius
Roman Emperor from 161 AD to 180 AD
This is an amazing quote from a Roman Emperor! If
something is wrong why do it? This amazing quote conveys what is correct and
what is incorrect. If you commit something wrong why did you even do it in the
first place? The answer is that you did not thoroughly elaborate on the
possible consequences therefore making your understanding of your action meager.
Once you realize that you have committed an improper action then you start to
realize your mistake. If something is not true then why mention it? Many like
to indulge in “Gossip,” but it is improper to even mention something that can
destroy a person’s reputation and that is not accurate.

I got a dollar in my pocket.....
Reflection:
After sixty years an elderly man returned stolen money to a Sears
located in Seattle, Washington. The man apparently walked inside the Sears and
proceeded to the second floor where he then handed an envelope addressed to the
manager of the store. Inside the envelope there was a hundred dollars as compensation
for his crime which he explained in an envelope. The man admitted to have
stolen $20-30 in the late forties’ or so. I believed that the man was extremely
tormented by his action and reminisced on the action and decided to return the
money with interest which is a very generous and remorseful act. A customer
even exclaimed the act as “awesome,” and I can’t think of a better to classify
this amazing action.

“Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choices.” - Albert A. Montapert
“Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choices.” - Albert A. Montapert
This is magnificent statement by Albert A. Montapert. No one can
ever commit an action without a consequence being manifested by the action “what
goes around comes around.” When our judgment and moral sense are clouded by
greed and evil ambitions we ignore the consequence(s) that accompany. Any and I
mean any action no matter how miniscule or tremendous will always manifest a
consequence often mirroring the proportion of the action. A few weeks ago my
friend was talking about how he did not complete his homework and how he was
going to complete it during advisory. What my friend did not understand was by
not completing his homework he will now have to complete it in advisory and he
might not comprehend the subject that well. Consequences can either benefit or affect
the individual and will always manifest themselves no matter what the action
may be.

“Success is dependent on effort.”
- Sophocles, Greek dramatist
“Success is dependent on effort.”
- Sophocles, Greek dramatist
This
is an amazing quote by the exquisite philosophers the Sophocles. Effort is displayed
in any situation and determines the outcome. Many people display effort and
succeed while many others do not and end up failing therefore you must display effort
no matter what the situation might be because if you do not display any effort
at all you will not even accomplish anything. Sometimes it’s hard to display
effort in a certain situation that is unpleasant, but if you do then the
outcome will generally be positive and you will succeed in either accomplishing
something or assisting someone who wants to accomplish something. Success is
only marked by effort and failure is marked by the lack of effort/ not taking
action for the situation.

"It's better to be alone then to be in bad company."
ANON
This is an amazing quote that I agree. I believe thatn an individual does require company, but conpany that is good not the oppposite of it. It is indeed better to be alone then to participate in wrong actions that both you and your so called friends will not benefit from. many youths today are pressured and persuaded into changing their appearance, attitude, and so on. Youths percieve the world differently therefore would want to percive similarly tothe one they admire. If they want to be "cool" and have exhilerting friendships and if they acquire that by participating in wrong actions and belive to be persuaded then they are wrong they allowed themselves to be indulged into the world of drugs, crime, etc. If you are not in contact with those who participate in wtrong actions than you are doing the right thing and then you could acquire acquaintances who are good and not miscreants.

"Nothing is ever gained in doing what's wrong."
Wilford Woodruff
Nothing, not even a miniscule amount of good will be derived from anything wrong. Those who "Choose the Wrong" are mislead and fools because they should know that nothing is ever gained when they commit wrong actions and will only accomplish things that will hurt them later on. Those who commit right/good actions will always benefit one way or another and will never feel guilt or anger, instead they will be enlightened and prosper. Those who commit wrong actions will feel atrocious because it is our nature to do what is right and help others, not to be manipulated by greed and other despicable desires to commit wrong actions because no one wants to be a puppet controlled by misleading ideals and such.

"Goodness is the only investment that never fails."
- Henry David Thoreau
Yes this is an understandable quote by Mr. Thoreau. If you invest all of your time into doing what is right then you wil never fail in what you are striving for. When the person invests his/her time into some benefitting actions or "goodness" will always be compensated for his investment because there will always be something to do that is good. If someone invests their time in activities that require them to act or be delinquents then they will not be rewarded properly. If the investor did not apply themselves or muster much of their time into the activity then the person might feel that they are unsatisfied with their activity then they will restrain from it or elude participation from it, but those who apply themselves and do what is right will always benefit from it and will be satisfied and rewarded.

"Seek to do good and you will find that happiness will run after you."
James Freeman Clarke
This is a very fundemental quote by James Freeman Clarke. If you do good then generally you feel as if you have been rewarded. For example if you assist an elederly woman find a product at the grocery store and after you have helped her you will feel good, happy, and rewarded for helping someone. People are not born to with the ability to commit bad actions they are molded or influinced to do so. If you commit good actions then inevidably you will not feel sorrow or guilt if you did otherwise and did something that was devious. For example, if you help someone homeless by buying them some food then you will feel good, but if you do not or if you beat or if you insult the person then you will feel guilt which is inevidable. If you do good then happiness will always follow.
