This is wonderful quote symbolizing perseverence. Those who persevere are much more likely to ontain what they desire than someone who does not. If you really want to obtain something you will always have to work hard and persevere, but if you do not immensly desire and diaplay effort to obtain something then you will most likely not obtain what ever you were seeking. Perception is a key element in obtaining what you desire, if you visualize/percieve yourself failing then you will fail, but if you percieve/visualize yourself obtaining what you want then you will obtain it and much more if you apply yourself. I will always "Keep my eyes on the prize" because I want to succeed and I will dispaly an immense amount of effort to obtain what I desire.

Student Success Statement

What I interpret from Mr. Smith's statement is that our duty is to influence others to believe in what is good as popular and what is bad as unpopular. We are all established freedom by society and by law and it is our duty to obey the law, but many don't because what is so popular now a days is rebel. Our society's foundation is dependent on citizens doing what is right and not doing the opposite. If we influence the public into doing what is right by moral standards of course than many will follow the ideal while very few might not. One example is the growing popularity in academic neglectance, many youths only neglect education because they believe that is it's popular than they should follow that ideal and not apply themselves in their education. Students who apply themselves and persevere are adequate and therefore not influenced by their enviroment and their peers alike.
